Let 2018 be the year you earn your CAPM or PMP certification through PMI Willamette Valley! Registration is open now for the Spring exam preparation course at PMIWV Salem Branch. This is an excellent opportunity to earn a certification that will set you apart from others. With increasing frequency job postings are requiring a certification in Project Management. In 12 weeks, you will complete the certification exam prep course before taking either the CAPM or PMP certification exams. We are now accepting new student registrations for our Salem CAPM / PMP exam prep course. Presentor: Nell Klumph, PMP, ACP, OPMCP Contact Information: RK Technical Associates, LLC, nklumph@rktechnical.com, Description: According to Government Technology Magazine Survey, (March 2018), "About one third of State IT Systems are Old and Broken." More than ever, Oregon agencies need to understand the various steps and time frames in building an RFP and in Contract negotiations. It is important for agencies and teams to know where to focus their time (and valuable resources) on the areas where the most value (and risk mitigation) is located. Failing to focus on earlier critical steps may mean lengthy negotiations in later steps, --or losing the critical edge in the negotiation processes. This overview will provide a roadmap for agencies to use in exploring their own replacement options.
