The Eugene Branch of the Willamette Valley PMI chapter is hosting a 6 week CAPM/PMP certification exam preparatory course in September/October!

The Project Management Institute’s CAPM & PMP certification exams will change on December 16, 2019. Now is the time to complete your certification exam preparations by registering for the Willamette Valley PMI Chapter Exam preparatory sessions.

These sessions will be held at Pipeworks Studios in Eugene.

As PMI Global announced in April 2019, the PMP exam content outline changes on December 16, 2019! The changes are part of PMI’s 50th year anniversary strategy to provide resources for both career advancement and improving the entrance into the discipline of Project Management.

Things to consider: Current exam and exam content outline change December 16, 2019. It would be wise to put to use any current exam preparations before the exam changes. These sessions provide all required contacts hours for both the CAPM and PMP exam application.

Missed Classes Notice: The Velociteach materials and our Instructor’s techniques are designed to support your personal commitment to studying, participation in class and taking sample quizzes to passing the certification exam. During your 6 weeks you can expect to spend 6.0 hrs. /week in formal class work, 4 – 6 hrs. /week in preparing for each class and after the 2nd week spending 5 – 7 hrs. /week in taking sample quizzes. Add that up and expect to allocate 15 – 19 hrs. /week in your studies to be successful in your certification exam. Our historical statistics indicate that missing even a single session will reduce your success.

** these sessions provide the 23 contact hours for the CAPM exam and 35 contact hours for the PMP exam.

Cost: All payments electronically in advance and none taken at door 

• Early bird pricing, $1,095.00, available to 5:00 pm Friday, 9 August 2019. After that regular pricing is in effect" "To receive the Early Bird special you must register and pay electronically"
• After August 9, 2019 registration fee is $1,195.00.
• Final registration is 5:00 pm Monday, August 26,  2019
• No other discounts for these sessions.

Why: To put to good use your current preparations to sit for current versions of PMBOK, and content outline before they change on December 16, 2019

Registration: Must be completed at event located on the www.pmiwv.org website

Materials included in registration: Current 6th editions PMI PMBOK & Velociteach Student kit, access to Velociteach on-line sample tests and resources.

Laptop: Not required but at your option. You must provide power cords.

Classroom Schedule: 

• Arrive at 8:30 am for security briefing and name tag
• 8:45 am Session overview/Student and Instructor expectations 
• 9:00 am Instructions begin
• 11:50 am 90 minute lunch. Students responsible for lunch
• 1:00 pm Instructions continue
• 4:30 pm Class dismissed

These 6 consecutive Friday sessions will cover all 10 Knowledge areas, Ethics, Agile, Project Management framework along with assistance on completing the certification exam application. 

Certificate of completion: A certificate will be issued from PMIWV for the correct number of contact hours attended in sessions. Each session will have an attendance sheet that serves as the proof of attendance. The certificate will be issued electronically.

Term and conditions apply to this class:  PMIWV reserves the right to cancel the class at their discretion and refund 100% of fees due to class size not meeting minimum.
