Jill Woods from the Department of Administrative Services with the State of Oregon will be speaking on the subject: Understanding the application process when applying for various positions with the state, for example through NEOGOV.  She will be discussing some of the differences including Limited Duration (LD) vs. a Permanent position and time based vs. deliverables based in other contractual options.  She will demystify applying for positions within the state.  She will also cover some of the different classifications for project managers within the state.

Jill Woods is a talent acquisition professional with 20 years in Human Resources focusing in Recruitment and Training & Development in private and public sectors. Jill has served 13 years in Oregon State Government in three agencies: the Department of Transportation, the Department of Justice, and has most recently joined the team at the Department of Administrative Services as the Recruitment Policy Consultant. In her role as the Recruitment Policy Consultant, Jill develops statewide recruitment policy, creates training for recruiters, and leads efforts to modernize recruitment practices and strategies across the enterprise.
