February 2018 Salem Lunch Meeting
Questioning the Project Management Gospel
Karl Olmstead, MA, Project Manager and Business Analyst
Karl will be questioning some of the fundamental principles of project management. Such as the three sided triangle known as the Triple Constraint and other topics such as the definition of a project.
Karl Olmstead had a 30-year career as a researcher, policy analyst, business analyst, project manager, portfolio manager, and IT manager for several state agencies in Minnesota and Oregon. He retired in 2017 and now spends much of his time outdoors: camping, hiking, and gardening.
Karl is NOT a certified project management professional, but that doesn’t stop him from having opinions about PMI and its products.
Karl holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Economics from the University of Wisconsin.
